New Hairstyles for Men 2015

Check out these new hairstyles for men 2015 fresh of the latest spring and summer 2015 collections from fashions shows in New York, London, Milan, Florence, and Rome.

1. Side Part

We’ve talked about the side part before but it will continue to dominate in 2015. Add a side part is to get the effect of an undercut without shaving hair. This hipster, vintage, or preppy hairstyle can be styled matte, shiny, messy, wavy, or up high.
For something different, try parting hair on the opposite side. One may be noticeably better, depending on if you have a “good side.” Hair can be stubborn when it comes to change so use a little extra product while hair is trained to lie flat in a different direction than usual.

Hair Types: All
Hair Product: Try Billy Jealousy Ruckus Forming Cream (winner Esquire Best Grooming Cream and Gooming Lounge Best Styling Aid) for a shiny finish, with or without texture or Baxter of California Clay Pomade (Men’s Health Grooming Award for Best Styling Product and Details Reader’s Choice Award for Best Hair Wax)for a matte effect.

2. Messy, tousled styles

In reaction to the every hair in place slick trend, loose, messy styles are growing popularity. They can be worn with same side part or undercut you’re already wearing, just let the finished product have some texture and wildness. This works for every hair type and is a good way to add volume to fine or thin hair.

Hair Types: All, especially good for adding volume to fine or thin hair or working with coarse or wavy hair.
Hair Product: Look for something with hold and texture like Billy Jealousy Slush Fund Styling Mud for maximum hold plus conditioning or Baxter of California Fiber Pomade for pliable hold that can be reworked and shaped as necessary.

3. The Mop

Styles are all about reacting to what came before (see skinny jeans after years of ultra baggy pants). The opposite of the slick look is hair worn loose and down in fringe. These are not school boy Justin Bieber bangs (for the record, that style has never been recommended here) but vintage inspired style that can be styled messy for that rocker cool look.
This is a perfect style for curly or wavy hair. For fine hair, try adding some salt spray for hold and texture. This is a hairstyle rather than a specific cut so wear hair down some days, with a side part on others.

The mop style looks great with wavy and curly hair, striking the balance between manageable length and bringing out hair’s natural texture.
Hair Type: All, especially thick hair the benefits from a layered textured cut or guys with receding hairlines looking for extra coverage.
Hair Product: Look for light to medium hold products that keep hair in place without weighing hair down. Check out Baxter of California Cream Pomade for a natural finish. For that textured emo look with shine, check out Billy Jealousy Clutch Play Texturizing Gunk, which is a modern version of a hair gel that will never leave behind flakes.
4. Long Hair
While longer hair isn’t for everyone, wearing hair long is becoming more common. The man bun has a lot to do with this, replacing the questionable ponytails of the past. Long hair doesn’t have to be really long, and of course won’t be when you first start growing it out. Anything chin length and longer is cool.
Be sure to keep going for trims, though you won’t need them as frequently as with short hair. Unkempt hair looks lazy and unintentional compared to groomed and cared for long hair.
When hair is even longer, conditioning is a must. Add it to your shower routine early on while growing hair long to make sure locks are as strong as healthy as can be.

There are more styles available for long hair than the man bun. Dress it up by slicking hair back at the forehead and temples.
Hair Types: Medium length hair of all types.
Hair Product: When applying styling products to medium hair, focus on the roots, ends, and give hair a quick once over to tame fly aways. The goal is to add control where necessary and let the rest flow free. Look for flexible hold formulas like Billy Jealousy Sculpt Friction Fiber Paste. Get the slicked back wet look with a medium hold pomade like American Pomade Wicked Slick.
